Caste system is NOT evil as projected??? - seeking discussion

This is a fact that britishers have not created the racist face of the caste system.there are theories suggesting that caste system is based on "VARNA" and in one sense that means colour of skin....further said that aryas were stratificated in three varnas(brahman,kshtriya nd vyasya) already...and when they came to india (indus river region) they categorised the local black people in the fourth strata called shudra.it is also said that varnas were based on KARMA nd karma was further supported by dharma. whatever has been said is not at all pure...one has to understand all the theories....no one can claim that there is an one liner solution for the origin of caste system and the racist aspect of it... we must see caste system's +ve nd -ve aspects objectively.if we have followed it from the past 3000 years then there are some certain +ness nd no one can ignore this fact but at the same time one or two mazor sections of this caste system have suffred so long.its a fact again.upper sections have enjoyed all the previllages. after independance,there are changes and now purity and pollution of castes are not important. castes are emerging as political powers by identifying their number power.in this aspect,lower castes are getting chances to participate in indian democracy.i am sure that as much as we will modernise(not westernise),we will see +ve changes in current cast system...though it is changing and accomodation with modern values but "UUNT KAL KIS KARWAT BAITHEGA YE ABHI NAHI KAHA JA SAKTA"
HOPING FOR THE EGALITARIAN THINKING AMONG CASTES....
